Race Report

A cracker of a race was witnessed at the MSB St. Patrick's Festival 5k in Dublin City Centre, Stephen's Green. Over 1,350 runners took part in the event with some hot times and real race battles through the field. Spectators and onlookers were treated to a real Run Fest.

Overseas participants: Salva Regina Women's Rugby Team

The weather conditions were a factor along with some of the countries top runners fighting it out against each other. The winning time was 14 mins 43 sec by Cork Runner from Leevale AC Colm Sheahan followed by another Cork Runner Michael Hearty From East Cork AC.

The next bunch of runners in hot pursuit was the popular Sean Hehir from Rathfanham WSAF..

Runners from all over the country and other parts of the World brought some great fun and atmosphere to the festival running event. This event is one of Ireland's top Street races..

In the Female categories we also witness some great racing with Deirdre Byrne of Sli Cualann, Wicklow taking top prize and the legendary Catherina McKiernan just behind in 2nd place.
