RACE REPORT

Ballintotis 4 Mile celebrated its 10th running of the very popular event in East Cork. Record number of over 1,200 runners signed up this special anniversary event. For a small rural community committee they certainly know how to attract a crowd and look after all their participants. Runners came to the local community hall from early lunch time to collect their numbers and register. Some fine athletes appeared to race this fast 4 mile course along with last years winners looking to maintain their tittles. James was looking for an amazing 10th successive title. James came third this time round with with Kevin O'Leary and Kevin O'Brien winning this years title. All 3 athletes hail from East Cork A.C.

The ladies winner was another East Cork Athlete Fiona Santry. This was Fiona's second successive year to win the race. Results see some fierce competition amongst the field. The wind prevented any course records from been broken but spectators still were served up some great action at the finish line.
