The Lusk Road Race was well known and attended back in the 80’s and 90’s with runners traveling from Dunboyne, Dunleer, Newry, Kildare and clubs all over Dublin.  We have already had positive comments and excitement from the wider running community about the return of this event.   
The race is an Athletics Ireland licenced road race open to men, women and children of all ages.  It will be chip timed 4 miles through the streets and roads of Lusk.   
The route will offers great potential for athletes to target a fast time, gives first time participants a great introduction to the 4 mile distance, and also allows supporters to provide plenty of encouragement along the way as it goes through Lusk village 3 times.  At 4 miles, this is also an ideal event for anyone new to fitness, walking or running, as the emphasis is on a fun day out in a friendly and safe environment.
