RACE REPORT

 

 Another brilliant Ballycotton Race in Ballycotton today. The light rain did not put any of the runners off who have been making this pilgrimage trip for many years. Over 2,500 completed the 10 mile route. Runners from all over the country visited the Cork coastal town. As usual so many club runners were in attendance. The conditions were wet but only a light breeze confronted the athletes. The Race was missing some Top runners due to Olympic aspirations. However the talent was still very evident and with a very impressive time by this years winner Mark Hanrahan. Mark ran a a time of 49mins 01 secs. Well Done Mark who was clearly a crowd pleaser.  There is no doubt that Ballycotton 10' is one of the best club races in the country. Familiar running faces form all over Ireland could be seen at the Start line.
