As part of the Battle of Clontarf 2017 Festival, Dublin City Council and Raheny Shamrock AC are jointly promoting the Battle of Clontarf Brian Boru 10 mile road race. It will start and finish in St Anne's park and also go through roads in Clontarf. The race incorporates the Leinster Championship 10 mile race.It might be over two thousand years since running in Clontarf was a matter of life and death (a fearsome battle once raged there), but for this weekend, you can run a 10-mile race in the locality without the disastrous consequences that once awaited your ancestors.

This race is suitable for everyone, so whether you've got a personal best you want to blast to smithereens or you simply want to give the course a lash, you'll have lots of fun in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
