BnM Tullamore Harriers Half 2025

The BnM Tullamore Half Marathon was another massive success. Tullamore Harriers who are the hist club provided athletes with another great race experience. The high degree of management contributed to a great day. This was also the Athletics Ireland National Half Marathon, Leinster, Offaly and Kilkenny Championships.

It was very fitting that this long standing club hosted a very prestigious event. With car parking and shower facilities on site, this made it very comfortable indeed for runners, especially on a wet day. The weather conditions were not ideal as the wind increased mid-stream through the race. We had some prolonged spells of rain, however, this did not dampen the atmosphere.

Jake O'Regan of St. Johns A.C won this year's National Champs in style with a time of 67:25. This was a very well deserved win for the Clare man as he has worked hard to get back to fitness after a period out action. The pride and joy of winning a national title could be seen on his face as he entered the track for a lap of glory. Well done Jake. In 2 nd place was Patrick McColl of RoadRunners in a time of 69 mins. In 3rd place was Mathew Kane of Rathfarnham WSAF. The provisional national men's team winners were Clane A.C. consisting of Terry Shanley, Stephen Cornroy and Brian Conroy. The open team winners with 4 to score was host club Tullamore Harriers. The team members were Michael Murphy, Kevin Minncok, Killian Nolan and Barry Minnock.

The women's winner was certainly a crowd pleaser and no stranger to winning National Championships. Anne Marie Mcglynn ran across with the usual look of delight in a time of 75:10. This had extra meaning for Anne Marie as this was on local turf. Anne Marie is from Offaly and runs with Strabane AC. The last 12 months have been incredible. She just won the  Frank Duffy 10 mile 2 weeks ago and is the current national Marathon Champion, and National XC Champion. In 2nd place was Caitlin Harvey of RoadRunners in a time of 79:33. In 3rd place was Noreen Brouder of Sportsworld RC in a time 81:20. The women's National team winners Liffey Valley A.C. The team was made up of Mollie O'Donnell, Ciara Broderick Farrell and Cliodhna Tutty Bardon. The Open team winners was also Liffey Valley with 4 to score. The additional member from the National Senior team was Jennifer Preston.
