RACE REPORT

 

 

 

 

The Carrick Aces 5k had a record turn out today with over 200 runners taking part. The weather conditions were ideal for running with just a slight breeze. Runners from all over the county of Monaghan took part with all athletics clubs very well represented. Runners from outside the county also attended from Louth and Meath. The race was very well organised with the start and finish line areas all in close proximity to each other, making the runners experience much more enjoyable. 

 

Age category prizes were awarded to Females for  Senior, over 35 and 45. The male category prizes were awarded to Senior, over 40 and over 50 to correspond with the Monaghan Rd League. A Team prize was up for grabs based on the best 3 to score,  combining both male and female participants. Carrick Aces were the winners.
