Cheetah Run 2019

RACE REPORT

The 2019 Cheetah run had one of it's most successful years to date with just under 1,000 runners signing up for this unique event in Fota Wildlife Park in Cork. Another 100 children took part in the Fota 1 mile race before the main 5k. This was another sell out event with entries being snapped up over just a couple days. The event is hosted by Eagle AC who consistently provide runners and participants with a high quality event.

There was a fantastic atmosphere before and after the race. The race itself was won Alan O'Shea of Bantry AC and the ladies winner was Breda Gaffney of Mallow AC. There many age categories awarded to women for senior, and over 35 and every 5 years to over 65. The Mens age categories were awarded to Senior and from over 40 and every 5 years to over 70.
