200km virtual Coast to Coast challenge

 

Wayhey… welcome to the inaugural 200k virtual Coast to Coast challenge. Where you will virtually run, jog or walk across the Island of Ireland starting at Creevy pier in Co. Donegal and heading for Arglass in Co. Down. You will navigate 200km over 40 days (or less). The first adventurers will kick off on the 3rd January with the event open to newbie’s up until the 13th January.

 

What a great challenge to get the healthy buzz going for 2021 and beat the COVID lockdown blues

 

You can submit your distances daily and track your progress, and for those that are more competitive you can keep an eye on the leader board too.  Feel free to post pictures as you go to Instagram, Twitter & Facebook and let us know how you are getting on. You will receive a certificate when you finish – BEST OF LUCK

What is a virtual fitness challenge?

A virtual fitness challenge can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. You get to partake at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Registration Options:

  • Adult entry - €20
  • Couple entry - €30 (from the same household)
  • Family entry - €40
  • Student / OAP’s - €15

 

Optional event t-shirts, bobble hats and medals available to order also.

 

Registration is open until the 13th January 2021. You have 40 days (or less) to complete your 200km virtual challenge. The clock starts ticking from the first day you submit your daily distance. Race packs will be sent out during event, entry includes postage to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Extra fees apply to oversea participants/postage.

 

Track Your Progress

Once you have signed up you can submit your distances daily and track your progress, and for those that are more competitive you can keep an eye on the leader board too. You can enter your activity either by manually entering your daily distance or by syncing your activities from your favorite fitness tracker or smartwatch.

Run, Walk, Rest, Repeat

Continue to get out there and get moving! To keep you motivate as you progress virtually from Creevy Pier, Co. Donegal along the route to Arglass Co.Down you will receive event badges as you complete distance milestones. These milestones are aligned to towns and villages along your route.

 

  • START - Creevy Pier, Ballyshannon
    • Kesh (40km)
    • Ballygawley (89km)
    • Moy (117km)
    • Portadown (134km)
    • Ballynahinch (174km)
  • FINISH Ardglass (200km) (Cert issued as standard)

 

All participants who complete the 200km challenge will receive a certificate when they cross the finish line.
