Dublin Night Run 2019

RACE REPORT

The streets of Dublin was illuminated with a sea of orange t shirts with this years Night Run. Over 5,000 signed up for another top class entertaining 10k. This was a special event with part of the participants entry fee going to the very deserving Support Sean Cox Foundation. Music was blasted around the start finish areas of Dublins North Wall Quay and Convention Centre. The build up was more like a concert site with upbeat music and a warm up session to get runners revved up for a great night of running.

The race started as the night sky closed in adding to the extra colour an excitement. Night Races always seem to add an extra spice and enhanced experience for runners.

There was no let up in the excitement from start to finish. As the runners crossed the finish line they were greeted to a wall of noise from spectators, music and a highly entertaining DJ.

Well done to all participants, organisers and volunteers for a fantastic event.

The winner was David Power of Rathfarnham WASF and Microsoft. The ladies winner was an overseas athlete from the USA Theresa Hailey.
