Dublin Simon Fun Run 2017
RACE REPORT

The Simon Home Run held in the Phoenix Park today was a fantastic event. Over 2,000 participants signed up to support the Simon Community homeless charity. This was a very well organised event with participants having a great day. What a great way to have fun and raise vital funds for the homeless.
Live music, hot food and a tented village provided runners with great entertainment after their run. The start line was a sea of yellow and green as the runners wore their specially designed t shirt for the day. Many schools and some of Dublin's biggest corporate companies attended. Runners, joggers and walkers, dogs etc all took part.
The race itself was competitive with some quality club runners leading the field. The winner of the race was Peter Arthur of Liffey Valley AC. The female winner was Fiona Stack. The real winners today were the Dublin Simon Community and those who need their help for this coming winter. The Simon Community are now dealing with a homeless crises that is at an all time high.
