RACE REPORT

Over 5200 runners signed up for the annual Grant Thornton Corporate 5k Team Challenge. This has become Ireland's largest and most popular corporate team event. The city was a wash with the Famous Grant Thornton white T Shirt. The atmosphere was fantastic with music, lead by a warm up before the event with Feidhlim Kelly. Teams from all over the city took part, some for fun and some bragging rights in the workplace. The route was a flat fast course which threw up some real blistering times. The competition at the top end of the field had real class. The top 5 runners were under 15mins.

The weather conditions were ideal, slightly over cast, mild and not a hint of a breeze. The event started and finished outside the Grant Thornton Building on Dublin's iconic Docklands. The after party and results was held in the Canal Square - Bord Gais. There was teas, coffees and refreshments provided for all runners. This was truly one of Dublin's highlight events.
