
EVENT REPORT
The Biofreeze Great Ireland Run was a huge success with a sell out 1 week before race date.Over 2,600 runners registered for this year's event. Runners got the royal treatment with new sponsor Biofreeze offering ice recovery baths. There was no excuse for runners not to be their greatest. Dublin City Harriers were the host club who organised an extremely good event.Runners from every part of the country took part in this year's race. The mens and womens winners were our pre-race favourites. Aaron Hanlon from Drogehda & District (31.10) and Clare Fagan of Mullingar Harriers. (34.44).2nd placed man was Kane Collins of Donore Harriers and in 3rd was David Glynn. The men's team winners were Crusaders A.C. 2nd was Raheny Shamrock A.C. and Donore Harriers. This was a good day for Dublin Clubs.In the women's race 2nd place was Aisling O'Connor of Rathfarnham WSAF and in 3rd was Hannah Dalton. The women's team winners were one of the corporate teams Aecom. Dublin Front Runners were 2nd and Portmarnock A.C.You can check out all our race and club stats in our stats section.
