RACE REPORT

 

 

 

Our Lady's College Greenhills held their inaugural 5k race today and by the turnout and feedback we will definitely see this as an annual event. With over 350 participants the event was well represented by all ages and abilities. The schools event was well supported by local clubs Boyne AC, Duleek & District AC, Balbriggan AC and of course Drogheda & District AC who turned out in droves.

 

The winner of the race was Valdas Dopalskas (15:23 ) of Ballbrigan & District AC, followed closely by Brian McCluskey (16:10) of North East Runners. In the ladies race Stephanie Byrne (19:34) came out on top ahead of Boyne AC's Rebecca Carolan (21:10). 

 

The juvenile race showed off the local talent with Kate O'Reilly of Drogheda & District AC leading the under 16's home followed very closely by Roisin Kane who was first OLC Student to cross the finish line.
