Indaver Duleek & District AC 10K

YRACE REPORT

The East Meath Club Duleek & District A.C. hosted their annual Indaver 10k with a massive sell out number of 750 registrations. This years numbers jumped considerably as many other local athletics clubs and participants came to support the club. It’s easy to see why this Meath event sold out. Like all Meath races runners are guaranteed a great day out with incredible value. The organisational standards are extremely high and meeting the participants needs are expectations are always the focus of attention.

The event, even tho competitive, also brought a feel good factor and a sense of just having a good day out. The race finish line area was all about creating an experience for runners with live commentary, up beat music, along with creating an area where runners could mingle, chat and have banter among each other. The weather enhanced the finish line experience that was located in the centre of Duleek village..

We witnessed a very competitive race for both the male and female races . Before the gun went off we knew we had a race on our hands. All top positions were well contested.

This years race was won by Eoin Flynn of Rathfarnham WSAF. The Ladies winner was Niamh Devlin of Dundrum South Dublin A.C. finishing ahead of last years winner Laura Mcdonnell of Tallaght A.C. These 2 ladies have been giving local Meath and Louth races great entertainment over the last number of weeks as they consistently turn up yo race each other.

Age cat prizes were also part of the the event along with male and female team scoring. Clubs from Louth, Meath, Kildare, Dublin and Wicklow were all looking to contend for honors.
