If you’re looking for a fast start to 2017, then why not join us on the track in ALSAA, Dublin Airport on Wednesday evening, January 18th for the first of Irish Runner Magazine’s Paced Miles, an ideal platform to help you reach your running goals this year.

Event Description

Whatever your ability, you’ll be able to find your perfect mile pace when you take to the track, with paces ranging from 12-minute miles all the way down to five-minute miles.

Organisers Instructions

Paced miles can be used as an effective training tool for any distance runner. Widely acclaimed US coach Jeff Galloway introduced timed mile workouts a couple of decades ago to predict potential performances at longer distances, and his method remains popular today.

Running a timed mile, he says, “provides a reality check on your current goals, helps you determine a safe long run pace, and gives you a tangible way to track your progress during the season. Plus, it’s relatively easy to do and doesn’t require days of recovery.”

There is a nominal entry fee of €5 for each of the Miles at ALSAA or sign up for all 4 for just €15– January 18th. Feb 22nd, March 22nd, and 19th April
