John Treacy Dungarvan 10

RACE REPORT

Another fantastic John Treacy Dungarvan 10 hosted by West Waterford AC this year. With a record number of registrations and the quickest sell out road race this year it did not disappoint. This was certainly a great start to 2019 for the West Waterford club.

This years race had some very fine talent indeed for both the men's and women's categories. Kevin Maunsell of Clonmel A.C taking top spot for the second year running. David Flynn of Clonliffe Harriers was second and 3rd was Thomas Fitzpatrick of Tallaght A.C.

The women's race was won by Grace Lynch of Iveragh A.C with Laura Shaughnessy 2nd and Siobhan O'Doherty of Borrisokane taking 3rd positon.

The were 2 club team prizes, the main event team results and the John Treacy Challenge cup. The overall team results excluded overall prize winners and category placed winners to score based on points/placings. The John Treacy Challenge Cup allowed all runners score regardless if they already picked up an age category prize. These results were based on accumulated times.
