RACE REPORT

 

 

Kells AC hosted another great Kells Heritage 5k tonight.  Just under 320 runners signed up and they were not disappointed. Like all Meath races the participants are very well looked after.

 

All Meath races have been well attended this year. Many local clubs such as Bohermeen A.C., Trim A.C., Navan A.C., Dunshaughlin A.C, Moynalty A.C, Drogheda & District and many more were well represented. 

The winner was Jame Sherlock of Bohermeen A.C.in a time of 17:52 Bothermeen had a clean sweep in the men's top 3 with John Carroll 2nd and Conal Courtney in 3rd place. Bohermeen with these in  the top 3 also took the men's team award. 

The women's race was close too with Laura McDonnell of Rathfarnham WSAF taking top spot in a time of 18:20. Siobhan Mcardle was 2nd and in 3rd place was Ruth O'Loughlin of Naas A.C. Kells A.C won the women's team award. 

Age categories were awarded to senior, over 40, 50, 60, 70 for men and women. Well done to Kells A.C. for a very well organised race.
