Optimal Tralee 10 Mile
RACE REPORT
The Optimal Fitness Tralee 10 mile and 5k took place this morning in and was well supported with over 300 participants registered for the event. This event which followed on from the New Year 10k saw returning runners progress their distance and tackle the 10 mile, while plenty of new comers took on the 5k. The event was well supported by local clubs and residents.
The overall winner of the 10 mile was Derek Griffin in a time of 56:05 followed closely by Donal White of Kerry Crusaders in 56:08. First female home was Sharon Cahill from An Riocht with Maire Claire Healy taking 2nd position.
In the 5k distance Cathal O Donabhain from St. Finbarr's AC took the title in 16:07 with Niamh O'Mahony first female home.
Results are ORDERED on gross times.
