RACE REPORT

Another hugely successful event hosted by Athletics Ireland. The location was Abbottstown Sports Campus. This year also encompassed a fun run element with the Spar Cross Country Xperience. This was for those who may not want to run competitively or just looking to experience what cross country is all about. The course was the same course that will be used in next years European XC championships.

The day started of with under age races. Then at 2pm the main events started with the Senior Women's, Masters Womens and Junior Women. The Men's over 65 also took part in this event. At 2.45pm the starting gun got the Mens Senior and Master race off. There was some fine talent on show for both the Mens and Womens races. There was also a lot to run for as this was the qualifying event for the Irish Masters teams. To see how they all performed and placed go to our results by clicking results tabs below.
