Tara AC hosted another fantastic evening of racing and family entertainment in Skryne Co.Meath. Just under 300 entered with a further 150 kids. Tara AC are a sterling club who get so many young kids out. They also have a great influence in former GAA all star and Meath footballer Trevor Giles assisting with the young stars of tomorrow.
The main 5k was started 1 hour after the kids race at 7.30pm. Ronan McIlvenny of Annadale Striders won the race in a time of 16:36. Ronan Moore of Trim AC was 2nd and Mark Doyle of Clonliffe Harriers was 3rd.
In the women's race, pre race favourite Aoife O'Leary of Sportsworld RC took top spot in a time of 18.22. In 2nd place was Leona O'Reilly of Tara AC and in 3rd place was Suzanne Forde of Fr. Murphy AC. It was great to see so many clubs and further a field taking part in tonight's race.
Well done to all took part and we are already looking forward to next year
