RACE REPORT 

 

Tullaroan Marathon was a huge success this year.  The event covers a distance for everybody from 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon and an Ultra Marathon. The Ultra and some Marathon runners started early to avoid the hot temperatures that was to follow. 

 

The hot weather conditions resembled  a Mediterranean like location in the Sun.  This brought an extra challenge to the runners, along with what Race Organiser, Vincent Guthrie calls " Tullaroan Hills Gave Me Some Thrills". That is certainly true. This was a fabulous course with some great scenic landscapes of the Kilkenny country side.

The Finish Line area is one of Ireland's Finest Finish Lines in the country. Runners were treated like kings and Queens with plenty of marquee cover for runners to cool down. There was also an alcoholic bar provided for runners to avail of ice cold beers. Eir mobile and network services also had their "eir Race of Champions" event as part of the Tullaraon Marathon. This indicates the Quality and high standing nature of the Tullaroan Marathon. Full results and list of winners are available on our results. Click on image below to view.
