Waterford Viking Marathon 2019

RACE REPORT

The WLR Waterford Viking Marathon captured the people of Waterford and beyond for another fantastic event. Over 2,5000 participants signed up for this must do annual event. There are 4 distances to cater for everyone leaving it open and accessible to all running abilities. The Quarter Marathon, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Relay Marathon gave people no excused not try one of the events. The city centre start was yet again buzzing with excitement, music and great entertainment for participants and supporters. All events had a mass start at 9 am.

The WIT Sports Arena provided an ideal location for the finish line and after entertainment of music and refreshments. This atmosphere created at this event has a big race feel.

The Quater Marathon was won by David Mansfield of Clonmel A.C. and the female winner was.

The Half Marathon winner was Jared Derese of Carrick Aces. The Female winner was Ruth Fitzgerald of Waterford A.C.

The Marathon was won by St. Cocas Athlete Alexandar Wallace.
