RACE REPORT

Today saw the 9th running of the Western People Women's Mini Marathon in a glorious summer Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the high teens. Almost 1400 ladies took to the streets of Castlebar ready to set off on their sunny Sunday run, jog and walk.

Western People Women's Mini Marathon was hosted by Mayo Sports Partnership, with Western People newspaper sponsoring the event and let me tell you - they put on a terrific show. This was a superbly organised event for a super safe area for registrations, warm-up, presentations, post race stretches and a whole variety of refreshments, the fruit went down an absolute treat on this hot sunny day
