Athletics Wicklow 5k Road Championship
The Wicklow 5k Road Race Championships took place at Jack Whytes pub on the main road. Over the last 2 years Wicklow Athletics managed to host their 5k championships. We had another great race tonight with over 110 signed up.
The Wicklow County Board hosted another high quality race. The race started at 7.15pm. The athletes ran south on a straight out and back course. The wind started to rise just before the race. Runners had the wind in their back on when they turned around to head back from the turn around point.
The men's race won by Derek CRAMMOND
The women's race was won by Sheila O'BYRNE
